Garage Slab

Its a good idea to use a lot of rebar in your garage concrete.  I also included fiber into the concrete.  I had the concrete layers cut joints before it set up so if it cracks it will only crack to the joint.  Once the concrete was almost ready for finish they smooth over the top cut joint so you see no joint.  I paid for the concrete and paid to have a company screed and finish it.  Make sure you have a real good sub grade down.  The better the subgrade the less chance for cracking.  Make sure its all compacted and it doesn't hurt to put some water down when your compacting your subgrade.  I used asphalt grindings for a sub grade and they set up nice and tight.
